   Welcome to Pompey's Pillar Rock.   Pompey's Pillar rock is known for Lewis and Clark's expedition where Lewis and Clark signed their names on the historical rock.   The rock is an attraction that many tourist and visitors see. Just 25 miles away, Billings is the largest city in Montana. It is a gateway to Yellowstone National Park, Custer's Battlefield & Reenactment, sporting tournaments and business conventions. Make sure you take a look at the bird houses that were placed at the rock and monument more than 10 years ago, Now the blue bird and house wren bird houses have been placed around the new interpretive center at the historical monument.


The Pompey's Pillar National Monument Association provides history of Pompey's Pillar and Lewis and Clark info, also where William Clark signed his name on the rock when they discovered the land and Yellowstone valley area.
